I heard that Stoller had tried to get it trademarked for herself and was also declined. I guess it helps that she’s switched sides.

The offer was made by others. Deb Stoller has graciously declined any monetary contributions, although she does thank SnBers for their moral support.

Not to mention that most of the 43things users are pretty good at ignoring or attacking spam/astroturf postings. At least, most of the ones I know are. So those posts weren’t a great idea.

Thanks for posting this! I wonder why SFSE is fighting this so hard. To hire Kilpatrick for an online message board that gets little traffic seems over the top.
