Question: do I return the remaning 9 balls of olive Zara purchased from Romni at regular price for store credit? Probably should. Good excuse to look at new yarns.

Plans: initially, the plan for Zara was a simple, top down, fitted turtleneck for winter wear; may still happen, but like a lot of other people I’m now enamoured of Delphine Wilson’s design philosophy, and coincidentally, the ecru Zara may just fit into the scheme I had planned for a flared sleeve top with medieval flavour, which will now likely be influenced by Wilson’s organic cables (this flared sleeve top was originally slated for my stash of ecru Dunedin, a jumper-weight yarn; a lot of design ideas of mine are still caught in gauge flux).

But if that’s the case, I should have purchased a larger quantity of Zara in ecru. There might not be enough to accommodate the cabling and the wide sleeves. Alternative plans for ecru Zara include the triskele pullover and that vague idea about travelling cables against a lace background.

Being Delphine’s dad – I knew before you all did how good she was! Very proud of my daughter.

Wow – Delphine Wilson is awesome – her texture and cable work is stunning – thanks for pointing out this textile artist—-now, does she have a book of her designs available????

Ah, yes, Delphine Wilson, aka She Who Was the Sole Reason I Picked Up Vogue Knitting’s Winter ’04 Issue. Found her website via another blogger’s link. Perhaps it’s time to pick up _Grey’s Anatomy_ for inspiration and start knitting doll sweaters . . .

I think I might have actually purchased the very last bit of ecru Zara. I wasn’t going to, but it was still there when I checked later, so I figured I might as well.

Here’s hoping my lot of Zara isn’t smelly.

Actually Jo, I stole a bunch of the Ecru too–18 balls. I find it smells funny. Not that it will keep me from using it.

Keep the green or else you’ll spend even more money using your credit.

Oh so YOU’RE the one that stole all the Ercu! I SO wished I had also bought more Zara (should have gotten some Ecru myself!). ;) I vote for returning the full price Zara but what will you do with that extra money.
