Found via the cashmere pusher’s list (you know who I’m talkin’ about): China is culling the cashmere goat population in an effort to protect the Mongolian steppes… or is that to flex its muscle in the global cashmere market?
A couple of thoughts:
A) This could be good for the cashmere industry in other parts of the world;
B) Does this mean we’ll see a rise in the popularity of other luxury fibers like Alpaca?
