Item 2. Mohair prices in South Africa, the largest producer, have increased by 70% over last year. The mohair producer’s group SA Mohair apparently issued the statement of the price jump without any explanation. I’m guessing the statement coincided with the reporting of auction results.

I also think that the jump in price has something to do with the growing popularity of mohair fetish gear (links are worksafe, and you may have seen them before if you’re a YKW fan).

Question: does anyone know of a Canadian-based business similar to CafePress? (I once googled and found something like it–the name escapes me and it might have started with Z–but it wasn’t actually an operating business, maybe?)
