That’s way better than the parts counter my mom used to use. Dad worked as a machinist for Emco and they had these counters hooked onto the machine to count the parts. After a bit they’d wear out and not count as well, so they’d take them off and throw them out. Dad rescued one for mom and it worked great for knitting. But uuuugly!

I love it when people surprise me! How fabulous! Do be careful with your knitting though – it might eat that or that critical bit of pattern you’re writing.
