It's hard not to think of The Bay

Actually, I couldn’t tell you that when I look at this picture of a kid’s sweater from Simply Shetland 2, were it not for the name of the pattern. (By the way, I can’t make out from that little pic whether those stripes are short rowed or if the sweater’s just munged up by the model’s pose.)

But I can tell you that when I look at this design from the same book, I start thinking disturbing thoughts about worms and savoy cabbage.

    You just know that the designer of the green thing got a new book about edgings. Or had the sort of mishap I had when I got carried away with increasing on a frilled edge.

    Pretty sure the stripes are short rows…there’s a few places where the odd bits don’t match up with the wrinkles.
