sing it with me:
this is the suit that never ends, yes it goes on and on my friends. somebody started filing it not knowing what it was, and they’ll continue filing it forever just because this is the suit that never ends . . .

Is there a limit to how many extensions there can be?
SFSE, classy as they are, recently comment-spammed me shilling for their subpar products.

I got one of those comment spams as a thank you for this post.
Limits: no fixed limit, not as long as the board keeps approving those extensions. So far, this is only a delay of two years, which isn’t crazy long.

I just noticed that the discovery period was scheduled to close on 12/12/2007 and that no new request for an extension of time has been posted.
What does this mean?

Well, there are various stages in the schedule, so this could mean: (1) progress! they actually took discovery, and are into the next stage; (2) no progress! but they didn’t request an extension of time for the discovery period before it closed, for some reason. If (2), they could still retroactively request an extension of time (it may be a little more difficult to get, but still quite possible).
I suppose this means we need to keep watching the skies…
