Moving on to other controversial issues

Just as soon as I get a copy of the latest Knitting magazine.

In the meantime, frivolity. Did you ever notice that if you squint at a cable chart the right way, you can see the cable design stand out against the background?

Edit to include some further frivolity: there is now a crochet version of the famed Chicken Viking Hat.

Also below the cut, a photograph of some yarn from Japan with one of those labels that just loses something in translation.

   Re: the crochet version of the Chicken Viking Hat, the link “crochet version” brings me back to your post, the link “Chicken Viking Hat” takes me to the original directions for the knitted version, now updated with crocheted toes. Have I misread your post? Is there a completely crocheted version of the hat?
