Scoop from Knitter’s Review:
This PDF which is being described on KR and LJ Knitting as possibly the Vogue 2005 preview. I don’t know about preview; I’m wondering if it’s the inspiration/theme that had been provided to designers intending to submit for Spring 2005.
Contrast the media PDF here. Now that looks like a proper preview for potential advertisers, seeing as it contains the rate card and a description of the readership: “Vogue Knitting delivers thousands of affluent, educated, fashion-savvy readers who are passionate about their hobby and willing to
spend to support it… VK readers are the cream of the needlework consumer crop.” And apparently they have an average household income of $73,375 USD, and spend, on average, $122 per knitting project.
At least, I suppose that’s true of everyone who filled in one of their surveys.
The page that leads to these two PDFs is here. View the directory, which is currently permitted, and you’ll see a few other media PDFs (a few of them are duplicates, it seems).
Scoop from elann:
Jo Sharp Silk Tweed, both aran and DK weights, is back Wednesday morning 9 a.m. EST. I think I’ve bought all I want, though.
